Stuttgart Airport, opened in 1939, serves the state of Baden-Württemberg and is one of the busiest in the country. It operates with domestic and international flights within Europe, Northern Africa, the Middle East and the United States.

Bus - There are numerous services from VVS (Tel +49 7111 9449) that depart from the station located next to Terminal 4, beneath car park P14. Line 122 - Plieningen, Scharnhausen, Esslingen; 806 - Bernhausen, EnBW City, Degerloch; 828 - Echterdingen, Steinenbronn, Waldenbuch, Dettenhausen, Bebenhausen, Tübingen; X3 - Bernhausen, Gniebel, Pliezhausen, Ofterdingen, Rommelsbach, Reutlingen, Pfullingen; X10 - Neuhausen, Denkendorf, Köngen, Kirchheim; X60 - Echterdingen, Universität, Schillerhöhe, Leonberg. Journey time to downtown Stuttgart is around 25 minutes and the fare is €4.20.

Train - The airport station is found on level 1 of Terminal 1. Lines S2 and S3 from VVS (Tel +49 7111 9449) travel to the city's central station in around 27 minutes, with a frequency of 15 min. from Monday to Friday and every 30 min. on weekends. The fare is €4.20 and they operate from 5:08 am to 0:38 am. Other stops include Vaihingen, Österfeld, Universität, Feuersee, Stadtmitte, Bad Cannstatt, Schorndorf and Backnang.
From the city centre leave trains from Deutsche Bahn (Tel +49 180 699 6633) to locations in Germany and neighbouring countries.
Taxi - Operators inside the enclosure are Taxiservice Stuttgart (Tel +49 711 551 0000), Kurier-Taxi Stuttgart (Tel +49 7111 9416) and Hofmann Taxi (Tel +49 711 948 4409 / 2766). There is a reservation counter on level 2 of Terminal 1. The trip to Stuttgart city centre takes 20-30 minutes.

P3, P5, P7 - Short-term lots in front of the terminals.
P2, P4, P6, P8, P11, P14 - Covered spaces for short and long stays.
P0, P9, P12, P15 - Outdoor sectors. The first hour in P0 has no charge.
P20-P26 - Economy areas located further away from the main building.
Facilities include reserved parking spaces, vehicles for people transport, ramps, electric revolving doors, elevators, adapted telephones and toilets, wheelchairs free of charge.
