Saarbrücken Airport, also known as Ensheim Airport and opened on September 17, 1928, is a minor international air terminal in Germany. It operates with domestic flights and international destinations inside Europe.

The airport is located 9 km (5 miles) to the southeast of Saarbrücken.

The airport has an ATM, conference rooms and Wi-Fi access for a fee. The SCN Business Lounge is located in the Departures area and opens from 4:20 am to 9:15 pm; it provides snacks, drinks, newspapers and magazines, Wi-Fi, TV, air conditioning, fax (access with Priority Pass or DragonPass membership, or by paying at the door - €20.00).

Food and Drinks- Restaurant on the first floor, bar behind the security checkpoint, café at the observation deck.
Shopping- There is a duty-free store in the Departures area and shops selling newspapers, magazines, gifts, apparel.
Baggage- Carts free of charge inside and outside the terminal and on each level of the garage. The information desk operates a lost and found service (Tel +49 689 383 265).
Other Services- Travel agencies, children's play area.


Bus - Line R10 from VGS (Tel +49 681 948 200) connects the airport with Saarbrücken train station, Brebach, Fechingen, Heckendalheim, Ommersheim, Assweiler, Biesingen, Ballweiler, Wecklingen and Blieskastel. Journey time to downtown Saarbrücken is approximately 30 minutes. Buses run with a frequency of 1 hour and the fare is €2.50. From the terminal in Assweiler depart numerous services to other locations in the Saarpfalz district.

Taxi - Stands are located directly opposite the terminal. The trip to the city centre has a cost of around €35.00 and takes 20 minutes.

The parking lots are found within a walking distance of 3 minutes from the terminal. There are automatic payment stations at the entrance of the Arrivals area, on level 2 of the car park and in sector P1. Fees
