Albrecht Dürer Nuremberg Airport, opened on April 6, 1955, is one of the largest in the country and operates with destinations in Europe, the Middle East and Northern Africa.

The airport has a currency exchange bureau (Mondays through Fridays from 5:45 am to 8:00 pm, weekends from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm), ATMs, postbox, VIP lounges and free Wi-Fi access for 24 hours. On the second level of the terminal there is a conference center, while the Mövenpick Hotel, situated across from the Departures area, has meeting rooms.

Food and Drinks- Bars, fast food outlets, restaurants and bakeries on both levels.
Shopping- Duty-free items on level 1, gifts, tobacco, books, toys.
Baggage- Trolleys available throughout the terminal and the car parks. Lockers inside garage P1. Lost and found office on the ground floor (Tel +49 911 937 1582).
Other Services- Hairdresser's, children's playgrounds, baby care facilities, smoking lounges, prayer room.


Bus - VGN (Tel +49 911 270 750) operates line 30 to Nordostbahnhof, Leipziger Platz, Nordostpark and Erlangen, and route 33 to Am Bäumling, Lohe, Almoshof, Am Wegfeld, Höfles and Fürth. Journey time to the city centre is 10-15 minutes and the fare is €3.00.

Metro - Line U2 links the airport with Nuremberg main station in 12 minutes. From there you can take the U1 service that reaches the trade fair in 25 min. Tickets cost €3.00. Intermediate stops include Ziegelstein, Herrnhütte, Rennweg, Rathenauplatz, Opernhaus, Plärrer, Hohe Marter. More information: Tel +49 911 270 750.

Taxi - Vehicles available around the clock outside the Arrivals area. The trip to the city centre takes 15-20 minutes and has a fare of around €19.50. More information: Tel +49 9111 9410.

P1, P2, P3 - Multi-storey facilities in front of the terminal, with premium bays and valet parking service in P1.
P5 - Short-term lot. The first 15 minutes are free of charge.
P7, P31 - Outdoor car parks.


There are designated parking spaces. Passengers requiring special assistance should inform their airline or travel agency about their needs at least 48 hours in advance and arrive at the airport 2 hours before their flight. Unaccompanied minors will be escorted from the check-in area to the airplane and supervised during their flight.
