Passenger guide - Münster airport (FMO) 

 

Münster Osnabrück International Airport, opened on December 21, 1966, operates with domestic and international flights to several destinations within Europe.

Number of Terminals - 2 - Terminal 1 (Arrivals) and Terminal 2 (Departures). Open 24 hours a day and located within the same building.
Airlines: AIS Airlines, Bulgarian Air Charter, Eurowings, FlyEgypt, Germania, Lufthansa, Pegasus Airlines, Small Planet Airlines, SunExpress.
Annual passenger traffic: More than 780,000 passengers went through it in 2016.

The airport is located 25 km (15 miles) to the north of Münster and 35 km (21.7 miles) southwest from Osnabrück.

Bus - In front of the terminal you can board regular services to Münster and Osnabrück. RVM (Tel +49 180 350 4030) operates lines S50, D50 and R51 to Münster central station, with a journey time of 35-45 minutes and a fare of €6.90. Buses also travel to Greven, Ladbergen, Saerbeck, Dörenthe and Ibbenbüren.
On the other hand, route X150 from Stadtwerke Osnabrück (Tel +49 541 2002 2211) heads to Osnabrück central station (40-min. trip), also stopping at Ladbergen, Kurt-Schumacher-Damm, Arndtplatz and Neumarkt. Tickets cost €10.30 and it departs Mondays through Fridays between 4:50 am and 11:15 pm, Saturdays from 5:45 am to 10:25 pm and Sundays from 6:00 am to 10:45 pm.
There are also private operators that provide door-to-door transportation inside the area.

Train - Münster, Osnabrück and Ibbenbüren stations can be accessed through the bus services, and there you can board trains from Deutsche Bahn (Tel +49 180 699 6633) to different locations inside Germany and neighbouring countries.

The airport has ATMs, internet kiosk and free Wi-Fi access. There are conference rooms on the upper floor of Terminal 1. The Relax Lounge is situated in the Departures area and opens from 5:00 am to 8:00 pm (Saturdays until 8:45 pm); it provides workstations, snacks, drinks, newspapers, magazines, Wi-Fi, TV, air conditioning, telephones, fax (access with Priority Pass, DragonPass or Diners Club membership, through online booking or by paying at the door - €23.50).

Food and Drinks- There is a restaurant, a café and a bar in the public area.
Shopping- A duty-free store is available inside Terminal 1.
Baggage- Lockers on the ground floor of car park PA.
Other Services- Prayer room, travel agencies.

P1 - Short-term area directly opposite the main building.
P2-P6 - Lots for long stays scattered throughout the grounds.

 

Facilities include reserved parking spaces, lifts, adapted restrooms and telephones. Passengers requiring special assistance should inform their airline about their particular needs at least 48 hours in advance. Wheelchairs and rollator walkers are available free of charge.
