Tbilisi International Airport, opened in 1952, is the most important in Georgia. It operates with domestic flights and international destinations in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

The airport is situated 19 km (12 miles) to the southeast of the capital of Georgia.

Bus - Line 37 from Tbilisi Transport Company (Tel +995 322 357 777) travels regularly to the city centre 24 hours a day, departing from in front of the Arrivals Hall. Journey time is 35-40 minutes. Stops include Terminali Gako, Orkhevi, Kakheti, Sante, Samgori, Aragveli, Avlabari, Pushkin Square, Heroes Square and Station Square. There is also an airport shuttle that stops at Freedom Square, Heroes Square and 26 May Square, Sport Palace. More information: Tel +995 322 511 511.

Train - There are services to downtown Tbilisi that leave from the station located 70 meters away from the terminal, with a trip of 20 minutes. Departures are at 8:45 am and 6:05 pm.

Taxi - Cabs available around the clock outside the Arrivals area. Travel time to the city centre is 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. You can make reservations by calling Tel +995 322 511 511.


Avis (Tel +995 322 923 594), Budget (Tel +995 322 234 112), Mimino Rent Car (Tel +995 579 012 901) and Sixt (Tel +995 322 439 911) have offices in the Arrivals Hall, on the ground floor of the terminal. There are also services from Europcar (Tel +995 322 754 471) and Hertz (Tel +995 322 307 890).


The airport has banks, currency exchange bureaus, ATMs, mobile phone services, public telephones and free Wi-Fi access. The Primeclass Lounge is located in the Departures and Arrivals areas and is open 24 hours a day; it provides snacks, drinks, TV, internet access, newspapers and magazines, smoking sector.

Food and Drinks- There are two coffee shops on the International Arrivals level, a bar on the mezzanine floor and a fast food outlet in the international area. All options are open 24 hours a day.
Shopping- Three stores with duty-free items are available in the Departures area, in addition to souvenir stands.
Baggage- Trolleys free of charge. Left luggage service 24 hours a day in the Arrivals Hall. Secure luggage wrapping around the clock in the Departures area. Lost and found office in the baggage reclaim hall (Tel +995 322 310 263 / 328).

The airport's main car park is found in front of the passenger terminal and has spaces for short- and long-term parking. The first 5 minutes are free of charge. In addition, to the side of the main building there is a VIP lot. Payment is made at the stations located at the exit from both areas. Rates


Adapted toilets and elevators are available. Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs should inform their airline about their particular needs prior to their arrival.
