Spending the night at the airport
Lyon airport operates with many flights and connections inside Europe and the rest of the world, so it is frequent to see passengers waiting for their flight at night. It is recommended to have earplugs or headphones, as there are usually announcements during the night.
Where to rest:
The most chosen place to spend the night is Terminal 1, which has numerous seats with no armrests, especially at the bars and coffee shops. Another option is to enter one of the VIP lounges, where there are more amenities and privacy, although they close at night. SEE VIP LOUNGES
Next to the terminals you can also find a hotel, and there are more alternatives in the vicinity.
Baggage: There is a left luggage service, but it is only available from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. This means you will have to keep your bags with you until check-in.
Eating and drinking: During the night there are only vending machines available.
Restrooms: Besides the VIP lounges, there are showers on level 1 of terminals 1 and 2.
Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, children's play areas, baby changing facilities, medical clinic, prayer room.
