Passenger guide - Antwerp airport (ANR) 

 

Antwerp International Airport, opened on May 1, 1931, is one the most important in Belgium. It operates with some international flights inside Europe and Morocco.

Number of Terminals - 1 - Open from 6:30 am to 11:00 pm.
Airlines: Flybe, Powdair, TUIfly, VLM Airlines.
Annual passenger traffic: More than 270,000 passengers went through it in 2016.

The airport is located 5 km (3 miles) southeast from the city centre.

Bus - DeLijn (Tel +32 7022 0200) operates lines 51, 52 and 53, that leave every 15 minutes from in front of the terminal headed for Berchem railway station (10 min.) Other stops include Vremde, Hove and Duffel. At Berchem you can board services to Rooseveltplaats, in downtown Antwerp. Line 33 stops in Luchthavenlei, 100 meters away from the airport, and runs to Ekeren, Merksem, Wilrijk and Hoboken. Fares are €3.00.
At the information desk you can book the City Express Shuttle to Astridplein (€5.00) or Groenplaats (€7.00).

Train - The closest station is located in Berchem, which can be accessed through the bus services. There are tram and national train connections there. Berchem is linked to Antwerp central station, where you can board international services. More information: Tel +32 2528 2828 / 7079 7979.

Taxi - Cabs are available at the exit from the main building and provided by DTM Taxi (Tel +32 3366 6666) and Taxi Antwerpen Service (Tel +32 3230 5555). The trip to the city centre takes 20 minutes.

The airport has an ATM, currency exchange bureau and Wi-Fi access free of charge. Inside the terminal and in the adjacent press centre there are conference and business facilities.

Food and Drinks- The terminal has a restaurant in the public area and a bar in the Departures Hall.
Shopping- Gifts and accessories shops.
Baggage- For enquiries about lost property, head to the airport's information counter.
Other Services- Aviation museum.

Premium Parking - Located directly in front of the terminal.
Economy Parking - Area situated further away, with free shuttle service.

 

Passengers requiring special assistance should inform their airline about their needs at least 48 hours in advance. Once at the airport, they can call Tel +32 3285 6520. There are also access ramps, elevators, automatic doors, adapted toilets and wheelchairs. Unaccompanied minors between 5 and 11 years old will be supervised by the airline crew.
