Zvartnots International Airport, opened in 1961, is the largest in Armenia and not only serves Yerevan, the capital, but the entire country. It operates with international flights to Europe and the Middle East.

The airport is located 10 km (6 miles) southwest from Yerevan.

Sixt (Tel +374 60 373 366) has a car rental counter in the Arrivals Hall. It operates 24 hours a day.

The airport has banks (24 hours a day), currency exchange bureaus, ATMs and a post office. Inside the terminal there is a business center with telephone, internet and fax services. The Business Lounge, located on the fourth floor of the terminal and open 24 hours a day (maximum stay of 3 hours), provides complimentary drinks and snacks, magazines, newspapers, computers, showers, relax area, TV, meeting room, air conditioning (accessible with Priority Pass or Diners Club membership, or by paying at the door).

Food and Drinks- Several restaurants and coffee shops are available on all levels of the terminal.
Shopping- Duty-free shops, souvenirs, music, newspapers and magazines in the public area.
Baggage- Left luggage service in the Arrivals Hall. Lost and found office in the baggage recollection area, open 24 hours a day (Tel +374 10 493 000 ext. 7226 / 7210).

Taxi - The official airport operator is Airport Service (Tel +374 98 828 200 / 10 595 900 / 60 430 000), with vehicles around the clock outside the baggage reclaim area. The trip to the city centre takes around 20 minutes.


There are no hotels on-site, but some accommodations in the vicinity provide transfer services. Across from the terminal building there is a covered parking area for short and long stays. The first 10 minutes are free. Payment is made in cash only. Rates


Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs during their stay at the airport are advised to contact their airline or travel agency before their arrival.
