Norman Manley International Airport, opened in 1948, serves the capital of Jamaica and the entire country. It operates with flights from Canada, the United States, United Kingdom, Panama and the Caribbean.

The airport is located in the Palisadoes peninsula, near Port Royal and 17 km (10 miles) southeast from Kingston.

Bus - Line 98 from Jamaica Urban Transit Company (Tel +876 749 9132) connects the airport with Kingston and Port Royal. Journey time is 30 minutes. Stops are located in front of the customs area and the service departs every 20-30 min. Timetable and fares

Taxi - The official operators at the enclosure are JUTA (Tel +876 927 4534) and Knutsford Express (Tel +876 960 5499), with vehicles available outside the terminal. The trip to the city centre takes around 30 minutes.


In the Ground Transportation Hall there are car rental desks from Avis (Tel +876 924 8293 - 5:00 am to 10:00 pm), Budget (Tel +876 924 8762 - 6:00 am to 10:00 pm), Hertz (Tel +876 924 8028 - 8:00 am to 10:00 pm) and Island Car Rentals (Tel +876 924 8075 - 5:00 am to 10:00 pm).


The airport has ATMs, currency exchange bureaus, postal services, VIP rooms, public telephones and Wi-Fi access in the Departures and ticketing areas.

Food and Drinks- Inside the terminal there are coffee shops, restaurants, bars and fast food outlets, some of them open 24 hours a day.
Shopping- In the Departures area there are duty-free shops, in addition to tobacconists, bookstores, music, souvenirs, clothing and accessories.
Baggage- Trolleys free of charge in the luggage reclaim hall. The lost and found office is situated in the security center, located in the Departures area (Tel +876 924 8452 ext. 2063).

There are ramps and adapted toilets in the Check-in, Departures and Arrivals Halls. Disabled passengers have priority through check-in and security controls. Inform your airline about your particular needs at the moment of your booking.


There are no hotels inside the enclosure, but you can find reservation desks outside the Customs area. Some accommodations provide transport for their guests.
