Punta Cana International Airport, opened on December 17, 1983, is one of the most important in the Caribbean in terms of international traffic and the busiest in Dominican Republic. It operates with destinations in the entire American Continent and Europe. Due to its rapid traffic growth, it is in constant expansion. It has the particularity of having a roof made of palm tree leaves.

The airport has ATMs, currency exchange bureaus, VIP lounges, charging stations, public telephones and free Wi-Fi access.

Food and Drinks- The terminal has a food court with restaurants, fast food outlets, coffee shops and bar, some of them open 24 hours a day.
Shopping- Inside the enclosure there are duty-free shops, clothing, souvenirs, handicrafts. Across from the airport you can find a mall with a great variety of articles and a courtesy transport service.
