Passenger guide - Willemstad airport (CUR) 

 

Hato International Airport, with its new terminal opened on July 1, 2006, serves the island of Curaçao. It operates with flights to the main destinations in the Caribbean, the United States, Canada, Panama, Northern South America, Germany and Holland.

Annual passenger traffic: Around 1.7 million passengers went through it in 2015.

The airport is located 10 km (6 miles) to the northwest of Willemstad.

Bus - Outside the Arrivals Hall you can board services from ABC Busbedrijf (Tel +5999 868 4733) to the city centre. Journey time is 45 minutes. Line 4B runs to Otrobanda between 6:30 am and 11:00 pm (from 8:30 am on Sundays and holidays), while routes 2A and 2C travel to Punda from 6:15 am to 10:15 pm (from 8:15 am on Sundays). More information

Taxi - Ranks are located to the right of the Arrivals area and there are cabs 24 hours a day. The trip to downtown Willemstad takes around 25 minutes.

 

Alamo/National (Tel +5999 839 1310), Avis (Tel +5999 839 1500), Budget (Tel +5999 839 1300), Dollar/Hertz/Thrifty (Tel +5999 888 0188) and Sixt (Tel +5999 461 3089) operate between 7:00 am and 11:00 pm from the airport's office area, next to the passenger terminal.

 

The airport has a bank, currency exchange bureaus, ATMs, public telephones, internet kiosks and free Wi-Fi access. The CAP VIP Lounge is located in the West Departures Hall, to the south of gate 4; it opens from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, with a maximum stay of 3 hours, and offers TV, refreshments, drinks, conference facilities, fax, computers, air conditioning, newspapers and magazines, telephones (accessible with Priority Pass, Lounge Club or Diners Club membership, passengers from Air Berlin, Air France, Avianca and KLM, or by paying at the door - USD20.00).

Food and Drinks- On both levels of the terminal there are bars, fast food outlets, restaurants and coffee shops.
Shopping- Duty-free shops in the Arrivals Hall and on the first floor, in addition to convenience stores, electronics, sweets, gifts, souvenirs, jewellery, accessories.
Baggage- Luggage trolleys available for free. Lost property should be accounted for at the desk of the appropriate airline.
Other Services- First aid center.

 

The enclosure has an outdoor parking lot for short and long stays close to the terminal, as well as an area for passenger pick-up and drop-off in front of the entrance. Payment is made at automatic machines located at central points of the car park.

 

There are special vehicles for the transfer of passengers with reduced mobility, ramps, elevators, wide walkways, exclusive parking spaces and adapted toilets. Wheelchairs available through your airline or the customer service desk.
