Incheon International Airport, opened on March 29, 2001, is the most important in South Korea and one of the busiest in the world, as well as one of the most modern. It operates with domestic destinations and international flights in all continents.

Number of Terminals - 2 - Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, open 24 hours a day and connected through free shuttle buses every 7-10 minutes between 4:30 am and 11:50 pm.
Annual passenger traffic: More than 62 million passengers went through it in 2017.

The airport is located 52 km (32 miles) to the west of Seoul.

AJ (Tel +82 327 433 300) and Lotte (Tel +82 327 438 000) operate car rental offices between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm, situated on the first floor of Terminal 1 and on level B1 of Terminal 2.

Bus - Services depart from the first and third floors of the airport and run to different destinations in the areas of Incheon, East Incheon, Gyeongsang, Choong-chung, Gangwon, Jeolla, Gyeonggi and Seoul. There are also 'limousine' buses that operate during the night to Seoul, Songjeong, Yeomchang, Sinyongsan, Heukseok, Gangnam and Jamsil (Tel +82 226 649 898 / 670 386). Travel time to downtown Seoul is 70 minutes.
Airport Call Van (Tel +82 327 430 828) provides door-to-door transportation in shared minibuses from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm. The company has a counter next to gate 13.

Train - The A'REX Airport Express (Tel +82 1599 7788) runs between 5:23 am and 11:57 pm from level B1 to Seoul Station, with intermediate stops in Woonseo, Youngjong, Cheongna, Geomam, Keyang, Gimpo Airport, Digital Media City, Hongdae and Gongdeok. The direct train takes 43 minutes to the city centre, while services stopping in every station take 58 min.
On the other hand, the KTX (Tel +82 1544 7788) is a high-speed train to Seoul, Daejeon, Daegu, Busan, Mokpo, Yeosu, Gwangju and Jinju.

Taxi - Ranks are found on the Arrivals level, on the first floor of the terminals. Regular, deluxe and jumbo cabs (for up to 9 passengers) are available, as well as international taxis for foreign visitors. There are fixed fares to different destinations. The trip to downtown Seoul takes about 50 minutes.

Short-term Parking - Connected to the main buildings through walkways on the underground and ground levels.
Long-term Parking - Outdoor spaces with complimentary shuttle services every 8-16 minutes.
Cargo Terminal Parking - Next to the cargo terminal, with 45 min. of complimentary stay.

 

Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs should inform their airline about their particular needs in advance. Inside the enclosure there are elevators, adapted restrooms, reserved parking spaces, Braille signage, escort services, an exclusive waiting room and transportation systems equipped for the transfer of people with reduced mobility. Unaccompanied minors over 5 years old will be escorted by the airport staff until boarding, and then supervised by the airline.
