Passenger guide - Manila airport (MNL) 

 

Ninoy Aquino International Airport, opened on July, 1937, is the most important in the Philippines and one of the larger in Southeast Asia. In addition to concentrating most domestic flights in the country, it operates with destinations in Asia, Australia, the Middle East, Europe and North America.

Number of Terminals - 4 - Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 4, open 24 hours a day and connected through buses that operate every 15 minutes.
Annual passenger traffic: More than 39.5 million passengers went through it during 2016.

The airport is located 7 km (4 miles) to the south of Manila.

Bus - An airport bus runs to Metro Manila and a Metrobus goes to the city centre from Terminals 1 and 2. There are also regular services that depart from outside the airport every 15 minutes. Journey time to the city is about 45 min. Another form of transport are the 'Jeepneys', privately-owned vehicles that offer transportation between the airport and Baclaran, where there is a Metro Rail terminal, which connects to the city centre.

Taxi - It is recommended to take cabs with accreditation from the Department of Tourism. These are best pre-booked at one of the desks. A trip to the city centre will take from 20 minutes to an hour depending on the time of day.

 

Car rental offices are located in the Arrivals Halls of terminals 1, 2 and 3. The airport has banks, currency exchange bureaus, ATMs, post offices, VIP lounges, public telephones and Wi-Fi access free of charge. The Marriott Hotel Manila, situated nearby, has conference rooms.

Food and Drinks- There are restaurants, coffee shops, fast food outlets and bars in all terminals. In addition, in the Departures area of Terminal 3 there is a food court with numerous options.
Shopping- In the international sector of the airport there are several stores with duty-free items, while next to Terminal 3 there is a shopping mall. There are also shops selling souvenirs, books, tobacco, press, jewellery, handicrafts.
Baggage- Luggage carts free of charge and porter services available in the Arrivals and Departures areas. The lost and found office is located on the ground floor of Terminal 1 (Tel +63 2877 1109 ext. 2863 / 3219 / 4198 / 3041).
Other Services- Baby changing facilities, children's play areas, medical clinics, prayer rooms, pharmacies.

 

There are short-term spaces in front of terminals 1 (car parks A, B and C) and 2 (parking lots 1 and 2), while opposite Terminal 4 there is an area for long stays, connected to the main buildings through a free shuttle service. More information: Tel +63 2877 1109.

 

Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs are advised to notify their airline about their needs prior to their flight. The enclosure has ramps, elevators and adapted restrooms.

 

On the fourth floor of Terminal 1 there are dayrooms for passengers in transit. On the other hand, across from Terminal 3 are located the Marriott Hotel Manila (Tel +63 2988 9999), the Remington Hotel (Tel +63 2908 8600) and the Maxims Hotel (Tel +63 2908 8888), while next to Terminal 1 is found the Manila Airport Hotel (Tel +63 2854 7549).
