Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport, opened on April 23, 1954, is the only operational commercial airstation in Lebanon. It operates with destinations throughout the Middle East, Europe, Asia, the United States and the African Arab countries.

Annual passenger traffic: More than 7.5 million passengers went through it in 2016.

The airport is located 9 km (5.6 miles) south from downtown Beirut.

Taxi - Vehicles are available next to the Arrivals gate and have the airport logo on the side. They offer unified official rates. There are also regular cabs, but it is necessary to agree on a price in advance. The trip to the city takes around 15-20 minutes.

The airport has a bank, ATMs, post office, VIP lounges, public telephones, internet kiosks and free Wi-Fi access for 30 minutes. Meeting and conference facilities at different nearby hotels, such as the Golden Plaza Hotel.

Food and Drinks- There are coffee shops and restaurants with local and international food in the Arrivals and Departures areas.
Shopping- Duty-free shops available in the Arrivals and Departures Halls, beauty products, fashion, jewellery, accessories, electronics, sweets, liquor, tobacco.
Baggage- Secure luggage wrapping 24 hours a day at the east and west sides of the Departures area (Tel +961 393 0578). To reclaim lost belongings, you must collect a claim paper from the Middle East Airlines counter, at the west side of the Arrivals Hall, and present it at the security offices in the Arrivals area (from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm) or on the second floor (between 4:00 pm and 11:00 pm).

There is an area for short- and long-term parking, with security staff 24 hours a day and valet parking services. The facility is connected to the terminal through a pedestrian tunnel. Fares

 

Most areas in the airport have ramps and elevators, adapted restrooms and accessible telephones. If you should require special assistance, you must inform your airline about your particular needs in advance.

 

There are no hotels inside the grounds. Most nearby accommodations are found in the city centre, and many of them provide transfers for their guests.
