Narita airport has modern and comfortable facilities. Although spending the night inside the enclosure is allowed, keep your ticket handy in case the security staff asks you for proof of an onward flight.
 
Where to rest: The airport staff will round up everyone spending the night inside the terminals into a carpeted area with comfortable benches. On the other hand, in Terminal 3 there are many couches where you can lay down. Another option (by paying or through a credit card that provides the service) is to use one of the VIP lounges, where you can access more amenities and privacy. The only problem is that they close at night.
