Tel Aviv Ben Gurion International Airport, opened in 1936, is the most important in Israel and one of the safest in the world, with a modern access control system based on the data from your credit card and a biometric hand reader. It operates with domestic destinations and international flights in the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe and North America.

Number of Terminals - 2 - Terminal 1 (domestic flights) and Terminal 3 (international flights), open 24 hours a day. A free shuttle service connects both buildings around the clock. Stops are located in front of Gate 4 in Terminal 1 and on level G of Terminal 3.

Bus - Line 5 from Egged (Tel +972 3694 8888), route 13 from Kavim (Tel +972 3773 2060 / 1700 700 181) and bus 239 from Veolia (Tel 1900 721 111) depart from level 2, in Terminal 3, and run to Airport City and El Al Junction. Services leave from there to other cities and destinations in the area: line 244 - Ramat Gan Ayalon Mall, Ramla; 249 - Petah Tikva, Rehovot; 423 - Petha Tikva, Jerusalem; 930 - Netanya, Jerusalem; 943 - Hadera, Jerusalem; 947 - Haifa, Jerusalem, Netanya, Ra'anana Junction; 950 - Jerusalem, Netanya. Kavim also operates services to Shoham and Modi'in, while Metropoline (Tel +972 1222 5900) travels to Be'er Sheva.
On the other hand, line 485 from Afikim (Tel +972 3525 2555) operates around the clock to Jerusalem (Fridays until 2:00 pm, Saturdays from 7:00 pm).
Bon Tour (Tel +972 3975 4200) and Seshir (Tel +972 3975 4033) provide transportation services to and from the airport by previous booking.
Train - A high-speed rail links Tel Aviv's international airport and Jerusalem in around 20 minutes. By road, the trip takes at least 40 minutes.
In addition, Israel Railways (Tel +972 3577 4000) link the airport with Savidor Central Station 24 hours a day, with a journey time of 20 minutes. Intermediate stops include Nahariyya, Acre, Kiryat Hayyim, Haifa, Binyamina, HaShalom, HaHagana and Modi'in. They leave from the lower level of Terminal 3.
Taxi - Ranks are located outside gates 3 and 21. Dispatcher posts are situated near Gate 3 of Terminal 1 and on level G of Terminal 3. Hadar Lod Taxis (Tel +972 3971 1103) provide transportation to destinations around the entire country. Nesher Taxis (Tel +972 2625 7227) go to Jerusalem and the surrounding area, while Amal Taxis (Tel +972 4866 2324) travel to Haifa and neighboring regions. Travel time to downtown Tel Aviv is 25 minutes.
Public transport timetables and fares

Vineyard Car Park - For short stays, opposite Terminal 3, with outdoor and roofed spaces.
Terminal 1 Car Park - Multi-storey facility across from Terminal 1.
Terminal 3 Long-Term Parking - Area with covered and uncovered bays adjacent to Terminal 3.
Car Park 15 - Outdoor and roofed spaces for long periods, available 24 hours a day. A free shuttle service connects this area with Terminal 3 every 10-20 min.
Car Park 13 - Situated next to the cargo terminal, open from 5:00 am to 8:00 pm.
Disabled passengers should inform their airline in advance about any special requirement. Services include escort and assistance through the departure and arrival procedures. Facilities include accessible telephones and adapted toilets, raised pedestrian crossings, ramps and lifts. Ambulifts are also available to board the aircraft, as well as reserved parking spaces.
