Denpasar Ngurah Rai International Airport, opened on August 1, 1968, is one of the busiest in Indonesia. In addition to domestic flights, it operates with international destinations in Asia, Oceania, the Middle East and Europe.

Number of Terminals - 2 - International Terminal and Domestic Terminal, open 24 hours a day and located next to each other.
Annual passenger traffic: More than 22.8 million passengers went through it in 2017.

The airport is located on the south side of Bali island, 15 km (9 miles) to the southwest of the city of Denpasar.

Bus - There are public services from Trans Sarbagita (Tel +62 811 385 0900) that run between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm from the airport to Tegal Station, in central Denpasar, in around 50 minutes. Available lines are: 1 - Bandara, Tabanan; 2 - Bandara, Nusa Dua; 3 - Bandara, Batubulan. Stops are located in Zona TMA (International Terminal) and Koridor Kedatangan (Domestic Terminal).

Taxi - Vehicles available outside the Arrivals Halls. These operate on a pre-paid voucher system that should be acquired at the desk located next to the airport exit. The trip to the city centre takes 25-45 minutes.

 

Avis (Tel +62 811 399 309 - 8:00 am to 10:00 pm) and Golden Bird (Tel +62 361 849 1818 / 6966 - 6:00 am to 2:00 am) have offices in the Arrivals area of both terminals.

 

The airport has currency exchange bureaus (24 hours a day), ATMs, VIP rooms and free Wi-Fi access.

Food and Drinks- Around the enclosure you can find restaurants, icecream stores, bars, pizza places and coffee shops, with options open around the clock.
Shopping- Duty-free goods in the Departures areas, convenience stores, souvenirs, clothing, accessories, books and magazines, electronics, spirits.
Baggage- Secure luggage wrapping in the check-in areas from 4:00 am to 1:00 am (Tel +62 361 475 2175 / 704 234). Enquiries about lost property should be directed to the offices of the corresponding airline.
Other Services- Pharmacy, travel agencies, spa, smoking areas, baby changing facilities, prayer rooms.

Multi Level Car Park - Five-storey facility located to the north of the International Terminal.
Premium Parking - Situated in front of the Domestic Terminal.
Regular Parking - Outdoor area to the north of the domestic sector.

 

The enclosure has basic facilities, including elevators and ramps. Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs should contact their airline in advance.

 

The Novotel Bali Ngurah Rai Airport (Tel +62 361 936 0200) is located between the two terminals, while the Hilton Garden Inn Bali Ngurah Rai Airport (Tel +62 361 897 6100) is situated 500 meters away from the enclosure.
