Bahrain International Airport, opened in 1932, is the most important in the country. It operates with the main destinations in the Middle East, Europe, Asia and some African Arab countries.

Location

The airport is situated 7 km (4 miles) northeast from Manama.

Car rental search

Taxi - Ranks are located outside the Arrivals level. Extra charges are generally applied for travelling at night (10:00 pm to 6:00 am) and on the weekends. Official operators inside the enclosure include Speedy Motors (Tel +973 1768 2999) and Arabian Taxi (Tel +973 1746 1746). The trip to downtown Manama takes around 10-20 minutes, depending on traffic.

 

Inside the grounds there are different parking options. In front of the terminal there are passenger pick-up and drop-off zones, where the first 15 minutes are free. Payment can be made at cashiers located at the exit from each lot. More information: Tel +973 3602 2075. Rates
