Chinggis Khaan International Airport, opened on February 19, 1957, is the largest in Mongolia. In addition to domestic flights, it operates with international destinations in the Far East and some locations in Europe.

The airport is located 15 km (9 miles) southwest from the city of Ulaanbaatar.

Bus - Lines 11 Nisekh and 22 Nisekh Sonsgolon Express travel between the airport and Mongolian State University, People's Cinema and Barilgaqdyn talbaï from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. Journey time to the city centre is about 30 minutes.
Taxi - Cabs are available outside the terminal. Ulaanbaatar Taxi (Tel +976 1900 1991) is the official operator at the enclosure. The trip to downtown Ulaanbaatar takes around 20 minutes.
