Khartoum International Airport, opened in 1947, is the largest in Sudan, serving not only the metropolitan area of the capital, but the whole country. It operates with domestic and international flights to destinations in Africa and the Middle East.

The airport has a currency exchange bureau, ATMs and post office. The Chief House Lounge is located outside the International Departures Hall and opens around the clock; it offers snacks, TV, smoking area, printers, photocopiers, newspapers and magazines, computers, Wi-Fi (accessible by paying at the door).
Food and Drinks- There are coffee shops and vending machines inside the terminal.
Shopping- You can find some duty-free stores in the international area and stands selling souvenirs, press and tobacco.
Baggage- Enquiries about lost property should be directed to the offices of the corresponding airline.
Other Services- Prayer room, medical clinic.
Taxi - Vehicles available at the ranks located opposite the terminal building. Journey time to the city centre is 10-15 minutes. It is advised to agree on a fare with the driver before departing.
Short- and long-term parking areas are available within walking distance from the terminal.
Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs should arrange the proper services with their travel agency o airline prior to their arrival.
