Kotoka International Airport, opened on March, 1958, is the main airstation in Ghana. It operates with domestic destinations and international flights within Africa, in addition to some destinations in Europe, the Middle East and the United States.

Avis (Tel +233 302 761 752 - 1:00 pm to 10:30 pm) and Europcar (Tel +233 302 819 888 - Mondays through Fridays from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Saturdays from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm) offer car rental services in the Arrivals Halls.
Taxi - Ranks are located in the parking lot, close to the Arrivals exit. There are both metered and shared cabs, which are cheaper. Taxis in the country have the frontal and rear panels and license plates painted yellow. The journey to the city centre takes between 25 and 55 minutes, depending on traffic.
The enclosure has a large parking capacity available 24 hours a day and designated passenger drop-off zones in front of the Departures areas.

Facilities at the airport are limited, therefore disabled passengers are advised to contact their airline in advance to request special assistance.
